We were one of the first companies in Poland to implement the possibility of booking a seat in the queue and a virtual ticket via smartphone, which turned out to be crucial during the pandemic and in the light of very strict restrictions on the number of people in closed rooms - says Michał Suski, Development Director at Dasoft.
You started with the implementation of payment terminals at a time when this market in Poland was just beginning. Where are you today?
Dasoft is a dynamically operating company with a young, creative team, offering customer motion management systems - queue management systems and servicing of electronic devices, including POS payment terminals. The company has specialised in two branches of activity: customer motion management systems, the so-called queue management systems and in the nationwide service of electronic devices, including POS payment terminals. Our queue management systems are used by the most commercial network customers for whom innovation is a priority. Our clients include: ENEA, IKEA, T-Mobile, Tauron Polska Energia, UPC Polska, Ingenico, Euronet and Kolporter.
We are constantly working on new solutions, responding to the current market needs. As part of the project submitted to the National Reconstruction Plan, we cooperate with the Industrial Chemistry Institute of the Łukasiewicz Research Network and the Faculty of Mechatronics of the Warsaw University of Technology. We also organised a competition for the most talented students of Mechatronics for the design of an innovative device for our company. We also try to care for the environment and we have recently added signs using e-paper technology to our range of products.
You specialise in queue management systems with the possibility of online booking of visits and a virtual ticket. What is the innovation of this solution?
We live in specific times. Time is a scarce commodity, it has also become very important to maintain the so-called social distancing and avoiding crowded places. Therefore, the key issue is to shorten queues at points of interest and commercial and service points. Our solution - online seat reservation and virtual ticket - allow you to generate a ticket anywhere and enter the point only when it's our turn, minimizing the number of interactions with other people. The innovation of this solution consists in the integration of the queue management system at the point with the virtual booking system.
These aren't the only anti-covid products you're developing.
We were one of the first companies in Poland to implement the possibility of booking a seat in the queue and a virtual ticket via smartphone, which turned out to be crucial during the pandemic and in the light of very strict restrictions on the number of people in closed rooms. This feature allowed customers to come to the selected facility just in time for an appointment, minimizing the risk of infection. We are also the only company in Poland offering a ticket dispenser equipped with a certified virucidal foil, which protects the user against contamination by touch. It is not only about the coronavirus, but also about many other bacteria and viruses that threaten us. We also have very modern solutions for researching human flows, equipped with the latest analytical technology, which allows 90% of accurately recognise the gender and specific features of people visiting shopping malls or large office buildings. This enables the owners of these facilities to create statistical data and optimize the setting of stores or to modernize protection systems. The system also counts people who came in and out, so you can control the density of people in a given facility. The latest product in our offer is an automatic disinfection kiosk with the Digital Signage function. It has a built-in LCD screen displaying information and multimedia content that the customer can view while disinfecting hands.
It was this kiosk that you submitted to the National Reconstruction Plan?
Yes. Because the device combines several important anti-covid elements: disinfection of hands and the whole figure, disinfection of devices and personal items with UV light, laser temperature measurement, cashless payment using the terminal, touch screen with many options - paying for parking or buying a cinema ticket , conducting surveys, displaying specific marketing and advertising content, etc. Ultimately, the device will be equipped with analytical and reporting software that will certainly be useful for many government and public institutions. This multifunctional kiosk is also perfect for airports, shopping malls, large supermarkets, stations, universities and places of large public gatherings.
What are you planning in the near future?
We focus on intensive development: investing in new products and expanding the team, acquiring new customers and establishing new business relationships with large enterprises. We plan to make our products visible in most shopping malls in Poland, positively influencing their image and increasing their sanitary safety. We also want to become one of the most recognisable brands in the technology and commercial and office systems sector.
